| The Lazy "S" Ranch is in the green swamp in a small town in central Florida by the name of Polk City, and is owned and operated by Larry and Judie Spears. At our ranch we run about 80 head of mother cows. All our cattle graze on the lush green grass of central Florida with supplemental minerals always at hand. Our ranch started as a dream of Mr. Bill Spears, Larry's father who wanted to own a Brahmousin bull. Shortly before his death in 1994, Larry purchased such a bull but unfortunately his father didn't live long enough to see any offspring. We have purchased additional Brahmousin heifers and bulls from other breeders and our heard has grown and continues to grow. |

We enjoy raising these cattle, with their loving dispositions, durability, easy birthing and graceful attitude. We halter break and train our own cattle, which makes them very easy to handle for showing and selling. We call them our "Mama Machines". We have recently begun the science of artificial insemination with the hopes of broadening and renewing our bloodline. Any help we can offer in the raising and caring of the Brahmousin cow we will gladly do to continue the grown of the breed.

4-H club kids show our Brahmousins in the local youth fair. In 2002 "Hot Jennie" took first place in her breed at the Polk County Youth Fair and Grand Champion Heifer. |
