 Elder Cattle Co. is located in southwestern Missouri about a hour and a half south of Kansas City and is owned and operated by husband and wife Shane Gay and Debbie Elder. We have 2 kids, Lauren, nine years old, and Dakota, three years old. Lauren shows at many junior shows across Missouri and Elder Cattle Co. exhibits at many local and open shows. We raise and show Brahmousin, Angus, Maine-Anjou, a few Braunviehs and have recently added a few registered Brahmans to develop new bloodlines in the Brahmousin. We do custom showing and fitting and we halter break and sell show calves. We have show heifers for sale at all times and in the spring and fall we offer ABC steers which are Brahmousin influenced. We raised "ECC Miss Holly" who was the Reserve Grand Champion Female at the 2001 Tulsa State Fair. This is also the home of the 2002 National Champion Female at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, "Elvira" who is owned by Lauren Elder amd was shown all over Missouri last year, winning many championships. "Elvira" and "Holly" will be calving soon to our now deceased herd sire "Hercules II". We will have other "Hercules" calves arriving this spring. |
