Diamond S Brahmousins is located deep in the piney woods of Crockett, Texas. At our ranch, we run about 50 head of mother cows. All of our cattle are forage raised and supplemented naturally with no artificial hormones used. We began exhibiting Brahmousin cattle in l987 when our son, David, bought our daughter, Leslie, her first show heifer. Most of our cattle are the direct result of that meager beginning. Numerous showring successes have put our ranch "on the map" so to speak .

What we really enjoy about these cattle is their extreme hardiness, easy disposition, and predictability in overall performance. Generally calving with a 365 day interval, the calves are born easy and grow quickly, weaning at 7 months at an average 600#. Typical physical characteristics within our herd include moderate frame, low on leather, thick muscling, and balance of confirmation. (Pictured Right-Diamond Paige)

Our ranch offers a wide selection of cattle needs including replacement heifers, show heifers and steers, and bulls. Cattle here are culled here if undesirable behaviors are noticed. What this translate into is that we do consciously offer to the buyer cattle that we would keep ourselves. We will also help with advise on halter training, fitting, and showing.

Pictured above is Diamond Paige who was the top placing and selling futurity heifer at the 2002 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Also pictured is Diamond Beatrice (left) who was a class winner at the same event. Both of these heifers will be seen throughout Texas on the TCCA circuit.
